Some people are not interested in being in the centre books of others; they just want to be remembered. But while facing an interview, everyone wishes to lay such an impression that somehow help them get that job. But the odds that a wishful thinking would contribute in cracking an interview (or getting any job done for that matter! loves are critically low.<\/p>\n

Things are quite different in reality as they are on paper. That goes for a resume or CV as well. Probably, the more your body language and attitude justify with whatever you have written in your resume, the better chances are that you will get the job. In order to do this though, one needs to avoid saying the following things in an interview:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. I really need this job<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This is one of the most commonly committed mistakes. People tend to play a victim on their job interviews. But an organization would never hire a person who shows even the slightest sign of under confidence or low self-esteem.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. I am a jack of all trades<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Here’s the thing; people are hired because they have a special skill that would enhance the growth of an organization. If they know something about everything, it reflects that they lack focus.<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. My last job was a disaster<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Never complain about your past experiences. And if you are one of those who love doing that, try not to be yourself in a job interview. The key is to stay mostly neutral and sometimes positive and gratified (but not too much!).<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. How many paid leaves do we have?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Focus on something related to work and not a vacation. You haven’t even got the job as of now!<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. I…uh…like…you know!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Avoid using these words as they imply that you are making up something to say. An interviewer doesn’t want to listen to made up stories.<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. I recently came out of a rehabilitation centre and…<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Unless the end of this anecdote strongly implies that you have become more eligible for that particular job with the experience that you have had, never mention these things.<\/p>\n

              1. I love learning about quantum mechanics and palaeontology<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Unless it is true, do not mention them as your hobbies. It is very necessary, to be honest about whatever you say and avoid saying things which show your weaknesses. Never lie in an interview.<\/p>\n

                1. I Apologise<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Try not to get into a situation in an interview where you have to apologise.<\/p>\n

                  1. Never Use Abusive Language<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    You must never use abusive language and slangs while giving an interview. This is something that seems very obvious. But sometimes, an interviewer tries to ease out your nervousness by being a little informal. However, you should never get carried away so much that it works against you in an interview.<\/p>\n

                    1. I want Professional Growth<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      Do remember that hiring an employee is not an act of philanthropy. It just means that an organisation needs an employee with a certain set of special skills. No one is going to hire you for your benefit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
