Why Investing in Home at an Early Age is a Good Option

It is a very bold decision for getting into the real estate investment or buying a home at young age. But there are also many dis-advantages in doing so at young age like very little money, life experiences, poor credit, no like-minded social group, etc. But there are some advantages also like motivation, tech savvy, time, etc.

There are different types of saving instruments available like National Savings Certificate, Public provident Fund, Kisan Vikas Patra and Recurring Deposit Schemes of several banks, etc., and also in share and commodity trading there are attractive investment plans and their Return on investment (ROI) in the market, metal and agricultural commodities and IPOs, etc. But there are risk available with all of these investments. But if you consider investing in home or property, since it has both high ROI and less risk involvement.

Real estate or home or property investment is a long-term investment option with its own cycle of highs and lows. But owing a property can also provide a steady source of income for a young person and can also offer as an insurance against any setback. So, starting early in life is a big gain in the long run.

Some of the benefits of investing in home or property from early age are as follows:

  1. a) Tax Savings: You can avail a tax benefit if you took out a home loan. So, if invested earlier, there is a rebate and they can start saving from early age.
  2. b) High ROI: If you compare the investment of Kishan Vikash Patra, National Savings Certificate, Public Provident Fund, Fixed Deposits, Life Insurance Policies, etc., with property investment, the ROI is more in most of the areas. Though the compounding in property price fluctuation depends on the performance of economy and varied infrastructure policies of that city or location but ultimately investing in home always give some more.
  3. c) Little Investment Risk: Since the investments in shares, commodities and currency are dependable on unexpected market events so there is always a certain amount of risk prevails. As the market events are outside your control so it can result in a capital loss. So, this is one of the reasons to invest in property rather than in trading options.
  4. d) Asset Creation: As the property can pass from generation to generation so when you are purchasing a home it becomes an asset creation for yourself and also save taxes from home loans. In the long run it always increases the value of assets multiple times.

So, it seems that buying a house is a good investment at an early age. But real-estate costs money so it is advisable to start with low-down payment method, educate yourself, seek advice, demonstrate financial discipline, consider co-borrowing options, diversify your portfolio, focus on income, plan for contingencies and long-term investment.

Always to keep in mind that to start early in-home investment you have the most powerful force in the universe with you. It is the “Time”.
